The Dutch AeroPress Championship 2025

This year’s DAC is more than just a championship – it’s Utrecht’s newest coffee festival, bringing together brewers, baristas, roasters, makers, and coffee lovers from across the country.

Join us in Utrecht on Saturday, September 27 as DAC returns to Vogelfrei, the creative heart of the Werkspoorkwartier, right where the magic happened last year – surrounded by makers, dreamers, and coffee lovers.

Expect high-energy battles, wild techniques, and bold coffee in every cup – all for the ultimate prize: the Golden AeroPress Trophy and a fully covered trip to Seoul to represent the Netherlands at the World AeroPress Championship.

Come for the competition, stay for the party – with DJs, a fresh drop of exclusive DAC beer by De Kromme Haring, and a buzzing crowd of coffee lovers, makers, and friends.

The Competition

Thank you so much for your enthusiam this year – Competitor tickets sold out in minutes yet again. These include training coffee, an event bag, a loaded goodie bag, and the chance to win top-tier prizes such as a Comandante hand grinder and an Acaia scale.

Armed with only an AeroPress, a grinder, and their skills, 48 brewers – from passionate home baristas to seasoned pros – will face off in a knockout format.
The ultimate prize: The Golden AeroPress Trophy, national glory, and a ticket to Seoul to represent the Netherlands at the World AeroPress Championship.

Visitor tickets are €9,50 – Get yours here!

Feeling hungry? Add a Food Ticket for just €12,50 and secure Vogelfrei’s (vegan) daily special – a proper, freshly prepared meal to keep you going through the chaos. It’ll also be available on the day for €15, but only while supplies last. Grab your Food Ticket in advance to guarantee your plate and save a few euros.

Vogelfrei will also offer a limited menu of pizzas and focaccia during the event – available to all, no Food Ticket required. But if you’re after the full meal experience, the Food Ticket is your best bet.

Please note: The Food Ticket does not include entry. You’ll need to purchase both a Visitor Ticket (€9,50) and a Food Ticket (€12,50) separately if you want access to the event and a meal.

What's on the programme?

This year’s DAC promises more than just AeroPress battles. Enjoy flavour-packed brews at the double brew bar, with coffee from Keen and our friends at Uncommon, Rumbaba, Blommers, and more.

We’re also pouring a brand-new coffee-infused IPA, brewed exclusively for the event by our local legends at De Kromme Haring – crisp, creative, and available at DAC.

Throughout the day, Vogelfrei will be serving fresh food straight from their kitchen, and the DJ booth will keep the vibe flowing with a funky, high-energy soundtrack. Our partners at Oatly and Brita are back with games and activities, and this year we’re adding something new: a small community market featuring local creators and independent businesses from the Dutch coffee scene – think books, ceramics, apparel, and more.

Introducing Mooleh Mooleh - The Official Beer of DAC 2025 by De Kromme Haring

Our long-time friends and local legends at De Kromme Haring are back with a DAC classic – a coffee-infused IPA brewed exclusively for the Dutch AeroPress Championship 2025.

Made with this year’s official competition coffee, Mooleh Manay (roasted right here at Keen), this limited-edition beer is a bold tribute to everything DAC stands for: fun, creativity, and collaboration.

Refreshing, unexpected, and dangerously drinkable – it’s the ultimate mash-up of two things we love: great coffee and great beer.

We love working with local talent. After a public call on Instagram, this year’s poster was designed by Tinka Stavenuiter – a brilliant Utrecht-based illustrator known for bold, funky visuals with a retro feel.

We’re obsessed – and you’ll see her work front and center on this year’s poster… and maybe in a few other fun places too.
