Solola is a delicate washed espresso from Huehuetenango, Guatemala, crafted by third-generation producer Sabdy López. Grown at 1,500–1,550 meters on a small family farm, this lot embodies the care and knowledge passed down through generations. Cherries are handpicked, fermented for 24 hours, and dried on sunlit patios with meticulous turning to ensure even development.

The result is a smooth, creamy espresso with notes of hazelnut, red grape, and toffee – comforting, balanced, and naturally satisfying in every sip. Solola is a true expression of Guatemalan craftsmanship and the intimate connection between family, farm, and cup.

Sabdy inherited not only her 0.4-hectare farm but also a deep knowledge of coffee cultivation from her parents and grandparents. She grows Catuaí, Caturra, and Pache varieties under native shade trees, nurturing a diverse and resilient ecosystem. Cherries are handpicked at peak ripeness, depulped, fermented for 24 hours, and sun-dried with careful hourly turning to ensure consistency and clarity. Sabdy involves her family in every step of production, teaching her children the craft and fostering a legacy of sustainable practices. The lot is processed with attention to quality, transparency, and care, reflecting her commitment to both flavour and community.
