Samenwerking

Toen we ontdekten dat het project 'Futureproof Coffee Uganda' deels wordt gefinancierd door onze Nederlandse overheid, waren we meteen geïnteresseerd om de koffies te proberen! Gedistribueerd door 'This Side Up', doen ze hun best om Zombo Coffee Partners te helpen uit te groeien tot een economische motor voor de boeren in het Zombo-district van Oeganda, terwijl ze Oeganda ook op de kaart zetten als origine van specialty koffie.

Wat we het meest waarderen aan dit initiatief is de transparantie - alles is duidelijk en toegankelijk. Er zijn momenteel 47 kleinschalige boeren uit de omliggende wasstations actief bezig met deze koffie, die in totaal 18.808 koffiebomen vertegenwoordigen. Elke cent die we voor deze koffie betalen is traceerbaar en we zijn blij om te zien dat het grootste percentage rechtstreeks naar de hardwerkende boeren gaat.
