Mooleh Manay

You might recognise this one. Mooleh Manay was the official coffee of last year’s Dutch AeroPress Championship, and we couldn’t resist bringing it back. This time, expect a sweet and wonderfully comforting cup, with juicy blueberry layered over soft brown sugar and smooth cacao. Rich, rounded and easy-going, it has plenty of sweetness with just enough fruit to keep things interesting. A familiar coffee with a fresh profile – and a very good reason to revisit one of our favourites from Coorg, India.

Mooleh Manay Estate is run by Komal and Akshay, who took over from fourth-generation planter Ms. G.G. Padmashree. Nestled near the Harangi Reservoir in Coorg, Karnataka, the estate combines a rich heritage with a bold, forward-looking vision. Their approach is both scientific and creative, using data to refine farming and processing while continuously experimenting with how to get the best from their coffees. A key focus at Mooleh Manay is species innovation. By rediscovering native varieties, introducing lesser-known ones and even experimenting with grafting, the estate is exploring how coffee farming can become more resilient to a changing climate. Through their partnership with South India Coffee Company and This Side Up!, these coffees find their way to us at Keen. You might also recognise Mooleh Manay from last year’s Dutch AeroPress Championship, where it took centre stage as the official competition coffee. We’re very happy to have it back – this time with a rich, sweet and comforting profile to rediscover.
