Finca Aladino at 1871-2100 meters high in the north of Peru for a taste of the Aladino and Rosa micro lot. This micro lot is a mix of caturra and tabi, processed semi-carbonically for 96 hours, and tastes like Pear, Plum and Rose Tea.

Flavour profile

Aladino is the second generation coffee farmer on the land, inheriting the knowledge of coffee cultivation from his late father. That knowledge, in combination with his passion for coffee, has fuelled him to improve his process every day and experiment with fermentation techniques as well, leading to this wonderfully balanced cup that tastes like Rum raisins, cranberry & sugarcane

The story – the farm

A few years ago, Aladino and his father Urbando Delgado began planting coffee varieties on their farm of which they heard that the best specialty coffee producers in the region were growing: Caturra and Tabi.

Tabi was introduced in 2002 by CENICAFE in Colombia – a hybrid of Bourbon, Typica and Timor. One of the most important attributes of Tabi was the fact that it is resistent to leaf rust, but Tabi also inherited all the wonderful cup quality characteristics from its Bourbon and Typica parents.
